Ultra-Marathon

CTPT client Richard Whittaker has entered the Davos Ultra-Marathon (July 25th 2009)!

The Ultra-Marathon consists of a 46mile run, a lot of which is uphill, in the Swiss Alps. Richard completed the same event last year in just less than 9 hours - an outstanding achievement. Richard has been training extremely hard, hoping to beat his personal best and has consequently shown great improvement during his personal training sessions.

Richards’s extreme training regime consisted of plyometrics, leg conditioning and hill running. Additionally, his personal trainer included some core stability exercises for injury prevention and pilates based exercises to keep his workout balanced.

Richards’s attitude towards training and competition is second to none. Running any Marathon is both mentally and physically challenging. Richard has done incredibly well so far, we wish him all the very best for the marathon.

Keep checking for any updates on Richards’s progress!
